I have an announcement to make: Next year, I will be
living in an off-campus apartment, in University Pointe, with my dear friend,
Stephanie.
I am very excited about this.
However, here are some very thrilling yet very daunting life changes that will likely come to pass:
However, here are some very thrilling yet very daunting life changes that will likely come to pass:
-I will have a car on campus.
-I will have to go grocery shopping, and prepare my own
meals.
-I will have to coordinate with my parents to pay rent,
and car insurance.
-I will have my own apartment, where I could have people
over for parties, movies, dinners, sleepovers, small groups, studying, etc.
-I will have to get a job. Hopefully a real job, and
hopefully off campus.
-I will have to coordinate my class, gym, and library/study
schedule appropriately with the biobus. I have never taken the biobus before.
-I will learn my way around the outside community, and I
will no longer be relegated to the Elon bubble.
Whew, that’s a lot to think about. I didn't think I would have to think about it so soon.
Welp, wish me luck!
I should have known: If you want to make God laugh, make plans. I think God is laughing at me.

So your revelation on the way back from Paris was to step forward to embrace a new sense of home? Great! I have a new article on home that is just now available to read on the web - all about life changes, stepping out with courage, accepting opportunities and moving forward. You can link to it on my blog: http://www.michellenanouchecsb.com/4/post/2012/03/breaking-out-of-the-comfort-zone.html Excited for you, Taylor!
