OFFENDED by these things??
(Granted, these things are kind of looked down upon in the US, too, but people wouldn’t speak to strangers with such negativity in the US! I mean, for real, this a psychology major who is used to pushing the boundaries of social norms. Come on.)

Situation: I printed a one-page document.

something. Don’t you know better?”
What I did wrong: Sent a document to the printer, without
first putting in my own paper.
Setting: A garden at La Alhambra, Granada
Situation: I stepped down from a curb, to have my picture
taken.
Reaction: “Woah—I don’t think you can do that! They’ll get upset with you.”
Reaction: “Woah—I don’t think you can do that! They’ll get upset with you.”
What I did wrong: Put my foot on the edge of a flower
bed.
Setting: a supermarket
Situation: I left the supermarket, without buying
anything.
Reaction: “Yea, but, you can’t go out that way!”
Reaction: “Yea, but, you can’t go out that way!”
What I did wrong: Walked through an aisle where there was
no attendant.
