So, last week, I went to the International Office on Friday morning, to sign up for a Communications &/or Journalism class, in leiu of Pensamiento Creativo (French/German) and Cine Espaniol (not interested). I was told that I had selected the six communications classes from the wrong list. (¿*!#$%&*? There's more than one list of possible classes?! For International Students, yes, in fact, there is more than one list. Great.)
Meanwhile, bummer that I had been so intent on getting Elon permission regarding the six communications/journalism courses, since that turned out to be a waste of time.
I went back to the International Office a second time on Friday, and signed up for Sociolog'ia de Educaci'on. I chose to stay in Cine Espaniol.
Now, finally, I have been to all of my classes at least once.
Here's my sked:
Lunes
8:30-10:30: Sociologia
14:30-16:30: Traduccion
19:30-21:30: Cine
Martes
10:30-12:30: Literatura
11:30-13:30: Cultura
Miercoles
8:30-10:30: Sociologia
11:30-13:30: Cultura
Jueves
12:30-14:30: Literatura
Viernes
14:30-16:30: Traduccion
Notice how there is a conflict on Tuesdays Literatura and Cultura. Well the Literatura professor said it wouldn't be a problem for us to get out early. Cool! No more conflict.
The Cultura professor said that we would start class at 12:30. Cool! A free hour!
Also, notice how classes that meet twice a week don't always start at the same time (namely, Literatura). (What?!)
Also, what I have chose not to list are the room assignments. Guess what? Most of the classes that meet more than once a week do not meet in the same room both days. (What?!) Therefore, today, I was in the wrong room at the wrong time for Cultura (an hour early, and Thursday's classroom). LOL.
I'm certainly not in Elon anymore, but at least it'll do ;)
Glad I'm done with scheduling at UEM, ~Taylor
